Furniture Factory productions include Something Wicked This Way Comes ... .Walk & Squawk’s Macbeth, The Government Inspector by Nikolai Gogol (2000), Bodyland, an exploration of biotechnology and its relationship to personal identy (2001) and Dirty Little Stories (2002).
Previous mainstage productions include They Do It With Mirrors, a multi-media solo piece about identity and illusion (1995-96); Foreign Bodies: Tales from the Outside, an interdisciplinary ensemble piece which explores what it means to be an outsider (1996); How Could You Stoop SoLo?(1998), an evening of solo work about love and cooking, time and travelling, fast food and American consumption, and a wacky film noir spoof; and Who It Is (1999), a musical journey across cultures and borders in search of American identity. Shameless Rainbow Youth Theatre - a company of teenagers who learn about physical theatre while creating an original piece - is a Walk & Squawk program which has resulted in 3 productions. Walk & Squawk has also created several short, site-specific pieces as part of its On Location series, designed to bring theatre to unlikely, everyday places and to generate new audiences.
